Greenfield Works Because of You

Yes, Greenfield is fortunate to have dedicated, creative teachers and a nice facility. We also
have committed parents and guardians, a talented principal and administration that is
extremely resourceful in allocating the funds we receive. But like the rest of the School
District, Greenfield receives less than it should in terms of resources.

Much of what makes Greenfield a quality educational experience is the result of the
generosity of the Greenfield community--both in time and money. Look around the school
and you see things you won't see in most other Philadelphia schools -- an ambitious
greening initiative, a newly renovated cafeteria, a beautiful library with a stock of current
books, additional classroom materials, performances by, and workshops with, arts and
cultural institutions. These represent countless hours of volunteer help, funding and
organization from the Greenfield Home and School Association.

We encourage you to offer support where and when you can -- in the classroom, on the
playground, on a committee. We also urge you give whatever financial support you can to
the Greenfield Home and School Association, ideally $60 per student for the school year if it
is within your means. Once again this year, The Home and School Association will award a
pizza party to the classroom with the highest H&SA membership participation!
